So I am currently in rehearsal for a play called It’s Only a Play. by Terrance McNally.
It’s a blast so far. I’m getting the chance to work with some seasoned performers, and enjoying getting to know new people. The show is hilarious. Great schtick and totally could be a throwaway show. Purely for giggles, however it got me to thinking…how many times have I seen people nearly throw away friendships, relationships, etc. over a role in a play.
All of us maybe need to take a step back — even if you aren’t in theatre and realize that it’s only a play.
Life is too short to let hate rule us.
This seems overly analytical — ah well.
Time to take my bow for the evening.
